Rapid deforestation and depletion of living needs of growing population had a severe impact on Nature and life on Earth. In compensation Dr Akira Miyawaki, a noted bio scientists had evolved a rapid afforestation process which provides a 100 year old natural forest within 25 years, which is 10 times denser than regular forest.
Land use is much less in this model as saplings are planted closer than they occur in natural forests
Benefits – reduces air pollution, reduce sound pollution, improves soil nutrition, water table replenishment, and enhances bio diversity provides sustenance of human life
Project propagation
K DISC, Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council has funded to convert 4.5 acres of land spread across 12 districts to a high intensity dense green forest.
Department of tourism, government of Kerala has plans to create a patch of green lungs in every tourist destinations.
Several private entrepreneurs has built small patches of this dense project adjacent to their residence and commercial building to reduce air pollution, sound pollution, dust pollution and improve air quality, water table replenishment increase bio diversity.
